Foul Identification
The Audit for membrane filtration systems is a procedure for identifying the fouling present on membranes.
The audit principle is to recirculate different specific solutions and assess their impact on the solubilization of the residues and on the recovery of permeability.
The measured data with regard to pressures, flow rates and fouling of the solutions with the various reagents will allow the definition of the best detergent protocol to be implemented to ensure optimum plant productivity.
The audit is basically organized in 3 phases:
- Organic audit: determination of what type of organic is present on the membranes
- Biofilm audit: determination of the presence / extension or absence of biofilm present on the membranes with patented BIOREM® product
- Inorganic audit: determination of the presence of recalcitrant inorganic acids (eg colloidal silica, magnesium, iron, aluminum)
